I have thought about starting a blog for a while and have always put it off due to lack of confidence and waiting for the "perfect" time to start but as it came to the end of my 2014 season and just started my winter training for 2015, I don't think there isn't a much better time to do it. I posted on my Twitter and Facebook about starting a blog and the responses seemed to be positive and there were lots of comments on what people wanted to read so here we go.....
I want to write about a number of things, my training, day to day life of being a full time athlete seem the most obvious choices but I also want to talk about things that are more personal as well, the stresses and struggles of being a full time athlete can be immense and even though relatively I haven't been in the sport that long I hopefully can share some of my experiences not only to maybe help others but to also help me gain confidence by doing things out of my comfort zone, along side nutrition, lifestyle, hammer specifics ect as I said before people have already given many things that they want to here about but if you have anything you would like me to blog about let me know in the comments.
So I have been in the California for just under 4 weeks to start my winter training and now its time to get on the long flight home and continue in Loughborough for the next block of training, I will hopefully be back in the US before Christmas for another training camp, these first weeks have been difficult after having 6 weeks off from training it was hard to get back into training and it was a shock to my body but it has been really positive and I'm looking forward to the 2015 season!
